I miss the sonic boom, 21.10 every night as it went out over the Atlantic coast.

My Dad was in the RAF and somehow met the test pilot for that first flight - I got a signed photo of Concorde from him. Hung proudly on my bedroom wall for years - no idea what happened to it 🙁

She was a beut of a plane.

I always though as a kid we'd be flying around the world on one as a regular plane.

Sadly the costs were too high.

Is it still in Bristol on display?

For me a classic british icon. Beautiful, extremely expensive, totally impractical.

Possibly the only area of technological evolution where we seem to be going backwards!

Whiskey Charlie - G-BOAC is housed at Manchester airport. I remember it's last fight coming out over Stockport, brought a tear to my eye.
In the last few months she's had a new house built to keep out the bad Manc weather.
Bit costly to view with the tour guide, but I went in the one at Duxford, Cambridge.
As a child we were driving on our annual holiday to Cornwall and saw her taking of on one of her first test flights, memory will always stay with me.
