Insane. Excluding the drugs From what I've seen he is a bit of dick too. Very odd

30 to ride with a bullying drug cheat⁰

Sounds like a great event. Presumably Hincapie is there to ride ahead to the hotel and phone back if there are any drug testers around? 🙂

From what I’ve seen he is a bit of dick too.

Would be brilliant if he took 30K off a load of suckers then proceeded to drop them at the first corner every day and ignore them the rest of the time.

There are plenty of people around for whom that is chump change.

(Edit: I'm not one of them, and I think I could find plenty of better ways to spend $30k).

I'd quite like to ride with him, probably my all time favourite TdF winner.

He's never won the TdF. 🙂

I'd definitely want him to give me "the look" for that much moolah.

I'm in. But only if Motoman and his flask are there too.

Motoman

Do you get to keep the bikes?

Asking for a friend.

You know the saying; you should never meet your heroes? What if the opposite was true and your villain turned out to be an alright guy?

Isn't that the way with a lot of villains - they are charming and delightful company unless you get in their way.

Clearly the fact that Hincapie was the first one to break the silence hasn't bothered him too much - or rather that he really needs the money and he needs Hincapie to make it look good... you couldn't pay me £30k to ride with him

And there's the issue, I bet pretty much every TDF winner and top level sports person has the potential to be a bit of a dick when things arent going their way.

Some just have a tighter threshold before they turn from the nice guy on the podium to Bradley Wiggins throwing his bike against the wall because hes got a puncture.

If Pantani had been around for this kind of event, you wouldn't need to bring your own - not disagreeing with the haterz but cycling fans need to be consistent

If I had unlimited cash I'd definitely do this!

Seems there's another reason to dislike Uber.

Not sure there are enough PEDs in the world that would keep LA in my sight tbh, let alone chatting distance.

Why on earth would you think that?

Inconsistency and playing favourites is all part of being a fan.

I know this argument has bindun before but the coercion of younger riders at the start of their career to going on the juice or being slung out, the harassment of riders like Christophe Bassons, forcing Trek to shut down Lemond bikes, Hein and Pat at the top of the UCI giving him special treatment; he was a sociopathic cut above the others.

The 30k covers a comprehensive plan for 3 months before the event, microdoses and other such and 2 units of blood removed at the beginning for transfusion mid-way through the week including safe storage of them. He'll still bugger of on the first uphill section and ignore them all.

Eh? I thought he only talked when subpeonaed (and he did a plea deal to avoid having to testify in the court case)? Andreu on the other hand would be a surprise if he turned up on the ride.

Never liked Hincapie, doped to the tits and still managed to win nothing much. Waste of space.

I suspect this shows how much Armstrong is needing money now

He's infinitely worse than the Spice girls for trying to make a financial comeback

My views have radically changed on this juiced up gimp

If you are disappointed you didn't make the cut with Lance, don't worry. There is an alternative.

For only $29,000 you can come riding with me and a mate as we ride the length of Scotland.

Book quickly because numbers are limited to 100.

For 30k I'd take me and five mates on Doug's Basque Ultimate MTB week, then spend the remainder on coke+hookers+football+surfing in San Sebastian. Armstrong can jorg-orn.

Please tell me you'll be doing this on zwift too.
