Is there a free council service that can help advise on interior changes - I've seen the local building control site but it seems they all have a fee associated and I'm sure there was some free advice somewhere?
I've got a 3 story terrace which is ground level at the 2nd floor and ground level on the 1st floor as the ground slopes. I want to remove an internal wall in the kitchen that separates the stair well so that you come up from the ground floor straight into the kitchen and then have a door on the next set of stairs to go to the top floor...
Seems sensible enough but I've a feeling it maybe iffy.
you can download the Approved Documents from the planning portal. They're quite easy to understand, especially for domestic properties
It's ground level at the ground floor and ground level at the first floor 😉
