Had the choice between an easy looking 'short sprints' and the 'hardest workout in the programme'- so went with the sprints but did attempt to follow Running With Ash's 20 min post run Yoga. Found that quite hard!
I might even swerve a beer tonight to make the best of a good looking weather forecast and favourite route tomorrow. Worrying times 😉
D46: half an hour of yoga and a few extra stretches. Dog walk also earlier in the day.
D47: hour in the gym. 20 min fat burning routine on the elliptical, 10 minutes on the rowing machine 2.2k, then 5k of intervals on the treadmill, 3 minutes @ 5min/k (12kph) then 1 minute walking @ 10min/k (6kph).
Monday was a 20k bridelway ride
Tuesday was bodyweight workout
Weds was a 5 k run
Yesterday was lunch at Camden skateboard park (do not advise in 1/2 term- full of kids 100x better than me)
Tonight took the eldest 2 for their 1st ever proper nightride, 10k of local singletrack, they loved it

In an effort to avoid a) becoming a pair of legs with a body that exists to support them and b) numb genitals I went shopping yesterday for a 20kg kettlebell and a new saddle.
I now have a routine in place to do 10 of something when I walk past the kettlebell (curls, presses, squats, lunges) and am about to see if the Specialized BG range is any better for my sore sit bones.
Not been posting but haven't missed many days - lots of walking when on holiday, rode Wednesday, gym Thursday, some serious gardening and digging Friday, rode yesterday, today and tomorrow. Tuesday I'm hoping to work from home so can have a long lunch at the gym again.
Day 48: Mainly working this weekend and almost forgot to exercise. So late evening Yoga with Charlie Follows.
Day 49: Squeezed in a 6 k run in the fading light and mizzle after doing my bit at U15s football.
Great efforts by others on here. Well done to all.
Day 50: bit of a struggle getting moving today but managed a 43km gravel loop.
New saddle seems to work, very obviously different to the last one in how it sits. Ended up doing a relatively mild ride, but might step that up tonight.
Also started the day with some kettlebell swings.
@walowiz - I'd really recommend going to a proper class to at least get started. Yin yoga classes are a good place to start. Having a teacher to watch and make sure you're doing the poses properly in a way that won't lead to injury is really helpful, especially when you're a cyclist who is probably a lot less flexible around the hips than most.
Anyway, I finally slipped yesterday - got took sudden by something Saturday night and wasn't well enough yesterday to do anything but I'll be back on it today. Previous week was all bike riding which was GREAT.
Ride with my dad-

Ride on some of the trails that got me into MTB

Also started getting some Strava top tens again which is a good sign of recovery.
Week before I did a couple of runs by the river Severn which were delightful.

Nice pics @munrobiker.
Easy couple of days for me. Woody hike Sunday with just the one dog (other one managed to make herself lame) and just 20 mins Yoga as was driving down to Sussex for work. Should have brought my trainers as lovely run along the river here. Instead hauled myself out of bed at 0630 and had Charlie Follows stretch me into some kind of shame for a day of sit down meetings and then 3.5 hour driving home.
Might do a run when I get back. Depends on time.
Agree on Yoga - before Covid I did loads of classes and I'll be going back sometime soon. Quite hard to follow some of the YT vids especially if they move between poses quickly. My fav are Charlie Follows, Yoga with Adrianne and (from a recommendation on this thread) Running with Ash.
Unfortunately, today is going to have to be my first where I just don’t have enough energy to even walk the dogs. I have been struggling with a sore throat and runny nose for the last week and knew after my run yesterday morning that I’m not getting any better until I rest and give myself half a chance.
Last week was crazy busy with work and I made the mistake of soldiering on when I should have taken it easy. I’m disappointed as everything has been going well.
Day #50 - lovely morning walk with daughter no. 1 and wombat, leisurely 2.6 km in 40 minutes. Turbo session later, 50 minutes at 170w, indicated 25km, I’d meant to do an hour, but cut short by 10 minutes due to friggin’ cramp in the belly of my right calf, nearly jumped off the Wattbike due to how painful it was.
@munrobiker are you from Penistone??
Was going to have an easy day today but after some rowing chat with a mate at work I was "inspired" to do a 10km.

Day 50 - and now we can begin counting down 🙂
40 minutes of weights this morning and then out for a fairly gentle (Z2) 7km run with the club this evening.
I "forgot" I'd bought a new running light during the Wiggle/CRC sale so charged it up earlier and tried it tonight. It's a silva Trail Speed 5XT, which does 1200 lumen for 6 hours or so, but the battery is a bit of a monster for haviung strapped to my head. Thankfully, there's an extension cable and the option to carry it in a pack. it has a bike bar mount and helmet mount too so it might get pressed into service for riding at some point.

A smaller-than-usual group tonight as some had headed up Craigellachie instead. I was in favour of a more gentle option after yesterdays exertions.

Day 51: inspired by all you runners I set off to do my 6km flat road lap from home. First time in 9.5 years!!!
I went a bit too fast at first and couldn't face the hill at 5km. Made that in 25mins so not too bad and walked the rest as a warm down.
Day 50: yoga with Charlie Follows (intermediate!)
Day 51: lunchtime run smashing my previous 5 k PB as I was trying to keep up with my 17 year old son. Unsurprisingly, he smoked me and was somehow not a sweaty mess at the end of it. I got a free calf strain as a reward.
