,,,piece of paper is in mm?
Want a portion of an A3 piece of paper as a square shape or rectangle in mm?
I'm biiiizzzyyyy , so anyone with a superior brain and time care to the math, would be a great help.
i've just realised this is ridiculously easy...brain in gear at last.
Really? You can't move a decimal point?
Lazy more like -
29.7mm x 42mm directly proportioned.
35.32mm x 35.32mm as a square.
29.7mm x 42mm directly proportioned.
Depends what exactly the OP is trying to ask, but that isn't 10% of an A3 (297mm × 420mm) sheet.
It is 1%.
93.9mm x 132.8mm
edit
Above is rectangular keeping A3 ratio (1:1.41)
Square would be 111.7mm x 111.7mm
59.4mm x 210mm or 118.8 x 105 (squareish) 🙂
Square is easy.
It is just ?(297x420/10) = 111.6870628139177mm 8)
Square would be 111.7mm x 111.7mm
looks bang on, for this purpose I'm thinking my 210 x 59.4 will suit best.
Thanks all and some lovely fails 🙂
what would the diameter of a circle be at 10% ? 🙂
what would the diameter of a circle be at 10% ?
Your question would be clearer if it included the word "area".
10% of the diameter is obvious.
The diameter of a circle with 10% of the area is a bit trickier.
A = ? r²
So for 10% area:
A/10 = ? r²
Then rearrange for r.
