The patio that was hurriedly built after my wife “disappeared” is in need of a bit of repair. One of the sandstone slabs has become loose on its mortar bed. Is there an adhesive that can be used instead of having to chisel out the mortar? Lazy, I know!

Portland cement?

Gorilla glue according to YouTube. I've still not mustered the courage even though I have a few loose paving slabs in my back garden disposal site. I get the impression your slab will never move again after using PU glue.

You might get away with ct1 if any loose debris is blown away, if you can get some sbr from someone eg a plasterer and mix it with cement to slurry the back of the slab and the mortar still in situ then thicken it a bit with more cement so it's all covered on the back of the slab and place it in exactly the spot it was removed from exactly how it was laid

Don't let the slurry dry out so you have to be quick

Cheers for the suggestions, Gorilla Glue seems to have worked for now.
