Those egg breakers are surprisingly effective and useful. Used them on a few holidays. Not yet got one for home as a well-placed tap with a knife or spoon works. But nowhere near as well as one of those egg breakers.

We have a sprung loaded version of the wgg cracker. Uses the string force instead of the height of the bead drop.

Egg clackers are the biz! There is a bit of an art to it, and using the right eggcup is important, but the satisfaction of clacking perfectly and lifting off a clean egg lid is… satisfying. 🙂
