Any advice on best zip ties for fixing cables and hoses?

Any one used metal type ones?

Cheers in advance

Plastic is plenty strong enough. Metal is overkill. Personally I prefer clips, but that’s just because I sliced my hand on the end of a trimmed cabletie while washing the bike after a cold ride...

Plastic is fine, just use nail clippers to trim them and it leaves nice rounded edges to stop you cutting yourself.

Plastic are fine, and are even reusable if you're handy with a little screwdriver or Stanley knife blade 😉

Lidl currently have packs of 400 assorted sizes (including 160 of the really useful little ones) for £1.99.

For holding the cables/ hoses at the front S clips are good, I bought some from China really cheap, I see eBay is full of chancer selling a par for a few quid

I prefer these more expensive than zip ties but

Might be because of over tensioned hoses, or poor quality zip ties, but I had 2 break yesterday at FOD which I mainly put down to brittle cold plastic.

Old cable cutters then once over with a soldering iron for me to remove any sharp ends
