Good evening,

I have a zee clutch mech with a damaged cage and an xt non clutch 10spd mech with a good cage but broken body, is it possible to just put the xt cage onto the zee body, or will i die?

Cheers
Rab

Try it. What have you got to lose?

The answer is definitely maybe - I've had mixed success with swapping shimano cages, but the easiest way to find out is try!

Possibly, although I suspect the clutch one ight be different

One-Up's Rad Cage install video will be a decent guide to fitting/removing cages.

Or if you're 1x10ing it, a Rad Cage might be a good purchase anyhww.

Sure can. I actually did the exact opposite, and fitted a zee super short cage to an XT mech.
Straight swap no problem.
