Bought mine over the weekend.

A Boardman CX comp thing, which despite the obvious road bike feel is surprisingly capable off road.

Very impressed.

Custom ti road frame with Alfine Di2, belt drive, carbons bars/forks/post/rims, dynamo lights, hydraulic brakes, full guards.

It's going to be the ultimate zero-maintenance all-year round commuting bike which can also do training and touring 😀

Cheers, Rich

what to do what to do

im ready for a change, theres nowt wrong with my 2013 stereo but its looking a bit battered and bruised these days. its pretty much been upgraded in every department with high end gear so could really do with just a frame swap, but struggling to find a 160mm travel trail bike i like, preferably carbon, thats available in frame only, that i dont need a mortgage for? so maybe i should buy a full bike, do a frame swap and sell the new bits on fleabay? but im certain id loose money doing this? Another thought was to just get a re-spray? i read about that place in Bury that does a good job on carbon frames? but to be honest i fancy something a bit more prestigious anyway (although if its good enough for NIko Lau....).... the final option would be to just weigh in the trail bike altogether and buy a big DH rig instead!! then maybe upgrade my HT a little bit for general trail duties.... hmmm, first world problems

Second hand ASR5c frame to replace my alu one, and a Croix de Fer to replace my Pompetamine. Neither is likely to happen in the next 5 years though!

I want Cotic to produce a 29er version of the Rocket, love my Solaris, but would love to try FS again (despite living in Norfolk and having no need for it)

I dont know. I want something to replace my Orange 5 so approx 140/150mm trail bike that can stand the annual alps pilgramage. Thing is Im struggling to find something that fits the bill without being stupid expensive. Thought about the new Canyon strive, but the one I would want has already sold out to the point where there is no estimatedd delivery date.

mental list of three

cargo bike for taking 2 small people to nursery

disc crosser for winter commuting / maybe a bit of actual cross !! (this is less likely)

29er like a parkwood (only if the blue one dies which it isn't going to soon)

The only thing I fancy is the new Dialled Alpine. More than happy with my Mk1 but, I do worry whether I will be able to buy new forks for it when I want to. Suppose I could get a new headtube welded to it to take tapered forks!!

There isn't really a new bike on the horizon, but I'd love one of those new Genesis Equilibrium Disc Ti numbers. Or a Kinesis Tripster.

I've just bought a Salsa El Mariachi frame and fork on eBay. Going to be a long process of building it up due to limited bike finances.

Thinking of making it single speed at first (and when that makes me cry too much I'll go buy some gears 🙂

It'll be a DH/FR bike of some description. Either a Specialized Status, Morewood Izumi (sp?) or an NS Soda Air.

Comfy, quick, drop bars, discs and dyno lighting and a trial-run for a few things. Should be built up in a few days.

I'd love a Kinesis Maxlight Sync Ti. It would have to be a Medium sized frame though, with 650b wheels rather than 29.

Oh! I don't know!

I got a Surly Karate Monkey at the beginning of the year after years on 26in wheeled 'ardcore 'ardtails, and I really like it.

So was thinking something a bit like the Ragley Blue Pig that I still have but with big wheels...so a On-One Parkwood or Chromag Rootdown if I was feeling flush.

Have also been toying with the idea of a steel CX bike with discs, Surly Straggler for example.

After spending some time on the Ragley in the last week or so, I have bee reminded what a hoot that bike is. Which has planted the seed of getting a nicer possibly slightly more hardcore hardtail...

Something like...

A 7 year old Nicolai Helius FR, and a 1 year old Salsa El Mariachi Ti in place of my Voodoo D-jab and belt-drive Kona A (I've got to sell to comply with 1-in, 1-out in terms of space and money)

if all goes to plan.

Either a 5010c or depending how the switch infinity holds up a Yeti SB5c. Having two mtbs is taking a lot of work and money to keep them sweet so awfully tempted to sell both and get something new.

I used to spray frames in front of the same type of water based extraction booths 🙂
Brings back some happy memories 🙂

A Salsa Fargo or something very similar.

Needs to be off road compatible, reliable and carry racks. Intend to use it for some long distance off road/Gravel type touring, you know that Santiago de Compastella thingy..

It's the ATR that has been on my mind a lot recently. I am going to use the idea of getting one as an incentive.
That Nicolai 650b looks seriously tempting too.
