Hi,
I've been on the lookout for a secondhand Kestrel stand for ages now, but can't find one anywhere and can't really justify the cost of a new one.
I'm considering buying one from a different manufacturer but really want something of comparable quality to a Kestrel - so no play in the rotational clamp, really sturdy legs and a quick and secure clamp.
Does anyone out there have any recommendations of stands to look for, or indeed any that are best avoided?
Cheers!

Happy with the Park Tools one I got from Dales.
Hi,
Thanks for the replies.
Which Park model Wallace?
Carlos - what's good about that Boss one?
Cheers ๐
I've got one that looks identical to that Boss one, I got mine from (and badged as being from) Decathlon.
It's pretty sturdy and certainly does the job. You need a fairly even surface to stand it on to avoid it wobbling (or put a folded up beer mat under the appropriate leg ๐ ) as with it having 4 feet it won't "self not wobble" like a tripod one.
The only significant downside is that it takes up a fair bit of workshop floorspace. other than that it's very good value IMO.
I'd have another one
