hi, I've recently bought a madison flo soft-shell as a birthday present, i ordered a size 10 jacket as she is normally an 8 or 10, i got one of my friends who is a similar size if not smaller than her and the jacket was tiny. was so small kind of wonder whether a 12 will be a big enough jump

does anybody have experience with the fit of madison clothing?

Tom

I've found Madison to be really helpful when I requested assistance with sizing. Am surprised that the jacket doesn't fit as my experience is that their sizing is accurate. Have you checked the size chart?

I'm super surprised. I've got the Madison Flo shorts in a 10 and I'm a 'good' 12 at the moment at least!
I guess you'll have to take a chance and just be prepared to send it back if it's wrong.
You do have my sympathies though, clothing sizes, especially bike clothing sizes, drive me crackers, and don't even get me started on cycling shoes... ๐Ÿ™„

I've found a Madison 12 is a 12 (a proper, normal white-washed-to-grey big knickers M&S 12). I've got a few pairs of Madison 'Flux 88' shorts and a base layer t-shirt thing, all 12s and all fit nice. I'm a 12, in case you hadn't guessed ๐Ÿ˜†

edit- women's bike clothing sizes are all over the shop- a large in one brand (Sombrio) might be the equivalent of a XXL in another if you can get it (Fox Racing, I'm looking at you...)

its strange, i thought the jacket would fit because i had been told that they were very accurate sizes, almost makes me wonder if the size is up wrong.

I've been told by two of my female housemates that it does seem very small for a 10, one of the girls is considerably smaller than my girlfriend who it is for, yet it fitted her

I'm confused

Take some measurements then give Madison a call.
