Just had a session on the new turbo trainer, what i have discovered is that the tyre gets quite warm.. This wouldn't bother me so much if the tyre wasn't a Michelin Pro race 3. It could get costly if i carry on with this tyre.

But i don't want the hassle/cost of a turbo specific tyre and wheel. Is there a decent reasonably cheap rear tyre that won't dump me on my face on the road and be reasonably robust on a turbo.

Any £15 road tyre.
I think you'll find the 'spare old wheel' for the turbo is a better option though.

just checked what I'm using:-

2 x Vittoria Rubino Pro (700x25c) Folding Road Tyre 2010 23-622 / 700x25c Black

but either it's a turbo trainer thing or I need to pedal a whole lot faster as mine do not get very warm (on a 40 min sessions)
