They should work fine, the rim profile of an XT isn't particularly deep so you should be OK with the standard brass valves.
Thanks for the tip off the brass ones are finally back in stock! I use them on my tubeless rims, they work great and the removable core is very handy for filling with sealant.

DT swiss valves from CRC are a better fit on all the rims I've tried.
