I have a Spesh Langster Aluminium frame the rusty brown colour and wandered if 28mm gatorskin tyres would fit, before I try it and get frustrated

I will and let you know, I've got a feeling it might be a bit tight, but those 28mm come up as 26mm allegedly

They should. Son 1 is riding the same with 25 mm Marathon Plus and mudguards.

Phew that's good news as just bought some for my road bike and then realised I'd already got some so was looking for something to put them onto, will try and come back and advise

They're fine on my Synapse....not hugely different to the 25mm schwalbes that it came with.
