Yes. Assuming that you're using a 9 speed cassette and chain. Shimano stuff (other than the latest dura ace Shifter and rear mech iirc) is compatible irrespective of whether it's road or mtb

Well to be really pedantic, 7 and 8 speed DA shifters and rear mechs weren't compatible with everything else either!
