[#10112404]

I have 170mm 2018 Lyriks and recently installed a 2019 debonair spring. Have rebuilt them 3 times now and have paid particular attention to making sure the dimple for chamber equalization on the inner of the stanchion isn't blocked (have pushed the top assembly past it, checked and then pushed the lower assembly onto the seat). Have also burped the seal with a cable tie. Have had it with 165mm of exposed stanchion after last rebuild (which I believe is normal for an RS fork) and feels fine riding but checked earlier and now have 155mm showing. Any ideas?

When my Pikes did that, I let all the air out and undid the foot nuts like I was going to take the legs off, released the bolts with a tap then did them back up.

Was fine after pumping them up again.

This is documented with the lufftkappe is it not? Due to the increased negative spring size, the bike sags under its own weight.

Or do you mean something different?

Hmmm, didn't know that. I have installed the 2019 RS spring, not the luftkappe but believe the principle is the same. Do they sag that much?

I had this with my Pikes. Pump up to max pressure and cycle the forks a few times.ย  The high pressure should shift any grease out of the port.ย  Do the zip tie burp again with the forks at full extension.ย  I also have the 2019 shaft and they sit only very slightly into the travel.

The will sag about 10mm on average, seems to vary depending from set to set and how well balanced they are.
