My winter training has kicked off and so far ive not been on the bike for ages. ๐Ÿ˜

Going to do my local series again, and I would like to solo D2D again as I have unfinished buisness there after my last try in 06 and the little mental breakdown I suffered at the halfway point.

I want to get a sub 6hr time in the Dragon ride next year, then do well again in Bristol 12 solo followed by a another Loooooooong adventure ride, then Torq12 solo, Cheddar if I'm recovered and then Relentless 24 solo (or Moab) to finish off.

Then cheese and wine, sleep, repeat.

There will be a fair bit of xc racing, too, coz I'm pants at it. Must go quicker!

So far:

Solo entires: Puffer, 10Under, 10@Moray, Relentless.

Sportives : Bealach Beag, Cairngorm100, Ullapool.

(Not cheap! Racing 2010 will cost me a small fortune ๐Ÿ˜ )

Plans are:

Puffer quads (training going really well )
SXC Vets - aiming for all 7 and better than mid-table finishes
Kielder 100 - aim is around 10 1/2 hours or even sub 10 if the conditions are good.
Three 10s, probably in pairs as usual. A podium would be nice, having missed one by 8 seconds this year.
Tour de Ben Nevis sounds like a cracker too

I can do ok in enduros through sheer bloody-mindedness but I need more speed for the shorter races. Fitness has dropped off a lot recently due to post-Transalp apathy and colds.

Hell, I might even buy a road bike...

I shall be doing the SXC Series and possibly some Gorrick and the Kielder 100, that is assuming my knee sorts itself out and I get my fitness back to a reasonable level ๐Ÿ™‚
