Anyone owned and/or ridden a Cotic & Production Privee?
Pondering replacing my hardtail frame and torn between these brands (Specifically the Solaris Max & Shan GT).
On paper they look exceptionally similar, and price is identical. There's a lot of Cotic love on here as always but those that have ridden the Production Privee seem to rave about them.
I have a PP. I love it.
If you want the GT then buy it quick. The fancy coloured ones didn't stick around for too long. I even managed to get it built with Cyclescheme using a UK dealer who were very good on price, so it worked out quite well for me!
I've not ridden a Cotic to comment.
The only annoying thing about it, is the paint seems to scratch fairly readily if you try and brush mud off it after it's dried off. If you ride loads it won't annoy you. That's what it's there for.
Also, you can also get them with SS dropouts so they're perfect as a year round bike.
