After using meths as a disc cleaner from the first, I've managed to be a bit of a fool, not pay attention and use white spirit on my front disc instead! Fortunately I didn't refit the wheel and ride (so hopefully the pads are okay) and I've wiped the disc down with water (which seems to shift quite a bit of gunk). Chappy at the LBS recommended standard automotive disc cleaner which I've bought (at £3.99 so I might as wheel used this from the off) and given the disc a good cleaner with this.
The bike seems to ride fine and replacing the disc seems a bit extreme; anything else I need to do?
If it's now working fine then stop worrying.

White spirit? If the bottle was closer than the bottle of iso I'd use it to clean my discs... Bang it on and ride.
5 Ltrs of Isopropyl Alchohol was a great buy, cleaning discs one of its many uses.
It's even nice with a dash of lime as a morning pick me up.

If I ever do anything to contaminate pads or discs I just take a blow torch to it and burn it off. Seems to do the trick. I advise against doing it indoors.
