Which Shimano rotors?

Swapping my brakes over to some SLX Shimano 4 pots that I have but need to swap out the rotors too.

It’s only a light trail rig so nothing too demanding.

Are the standard cheap Shimano RT66 rotors decent enough? For about £8 more per rotor I can get the XT RT76 in the sales.

Aren’t the cheap rotors only supposed to be used with certain brake pads??
I found the Ice tech better
Then I sold them to my mate and he was highly impressed with them

Those ones are listed as compatible with resin or metallic pads. They'll be perfectly fine if you're not doing kamikaze downhill runs.

Can get the ice tech RT86 ones for £28/£22.

RT66 £24/£22.

I've stopped using Icetech rotors as they wear out too fast.
Six months saw the last one off.

Alloy core showing.
