adjusts the amount the chain shifts on the rear cassete? As mine is taking it too far up and off into the wheel, (clear as mud!).

shimano mechs it's normally the "inboard" screw of the 2 of them !
The outside one is H.

Take the chain off & set them properly. Five mins work vs wheel rebuild...
