i bought a brand x DP, but the lever has a poor mount that moves when pressed. Anybody recommend a fix or a better compatible lever? TIA

Race Face or Easton one works well.

What Kimbers said.

For £17 the Bonty lever is brilliant.

I have done the shifter bodge - wonderful old XTR 9/3sp shifter, works a treat.

Another vote for the Bontrager. I didn’t think the brand x one was that bad (until I smashed it off with my knee in a crash), maybe just having a bit of play in it.

Replaced with the Bontrager as it’s all solid metal and is sub £20 delivered. I was slightly worried it didn’t have a return spring in it (there’s a small one in the brand x) but needn’t have worried. It just sits there and works really well whilst feeling like a quality bit of kit.

You can tighten up the play in the lever.

Wolftooth ReMote is the best one i've used but is more expensive than the other options.

@poah

Please stop posting that you can tighten the play up in the Brand-X remote.
You can't.

The bolt and countersunk nut bottom out on each other before play is removed.
Tighten it any further and you will break the threaded portion of the bolt. The fasteners are quite weak.
