Going to North Devon for a week at the start of July.

Based on a small farm in Goodleigh near Barnstaple.

Will probably only get a couple of rides in, maybe 3.

Have a road bike, gravel bike and mountain bike

Any suggestions much appreciated

I would MTB as there's a lot around Codden Hill.
When foot and mouth was on we did some nice country lane cycling but we still Sid that on MTBs.

Take the gravel bike and do the Tarka Trail. Its a beautiful ride from Braunton which goes across the bridge at Barnstaple and beyond to Instow and Bideford etc. Lovely scenery.

+1 gravel/Tarka (+ Tarka/detours/sightseeing)

PS Graylings (Fremington) for the best traditional chips in the area 🙂

I remember riding on the cliffs between Putsborough and Pickwell when I started to slide on the grass and get faster and faster as the slope steepens towards the cliff edge. I managed to stop in time but it's left a nasty memory.

Gravel for me from the area around Woolacombe, I found a nice short loop: Challacombe hill, round to Croyde back to Putsborough and back along bridleway to Marine drive.
Longer loop the other way to Lee then along the coast path to Ilfracombe out the other side looping round through some little valleys on quiet roads (take a right after sawmills) and work it out from there.
Stunning coastline and country side.

Take the MTB and drive across to Minehead.
Outstanding singletrack on Exmoor

Lee is a beautiful little cove so if you can do the route mentioned above by Jkomo it'd be well worth it.
