looking to strip back a frame and paint it myself but was looking to see the bare metal through the clear red paint finish.
anyone seen anything about? checked on google but nothing local, or anyone that will respray a frame super cheap?

JKW in Alfreton fill aerosols with any colour you want. If you need aerosol, you should be able to get lacquer with a bit of red in it made up.
Or if you have access to spray gear, mix it yerself.

Think they used to call it Candy Apple Red in the custom car scene,often sprayed over a Metalflake base like you'd see on dodgem cars in the fairground.
