I use Park ps10. Very stable and simple to use. Fairly heavy though as it's solidly built.

Kestrel are very good indeed but pricey

I used to have a kestrel stand, and what a bit of kit! excellent indeed! really well built, the same stuff you'd find in bike shops all over!

£200-ish new, i bought mine for £80 off of ebay but had to sell it when i moved a few years ago.

quality bit of kit though!

I use an Ultimate repair stand too, think it's the 'lite' version - excellent stand. Holds my bike, what else can I say.

merlin one really isn't that good. spend the money and buy either the basic park one or the basic ultimate one. a world apart.

I bought the lifeline (merlin) one and am dissapointed with the quality and yes it slips, and most annoying ly there is a LOT of play in the toothed joint at the top.

I bought the Lifeline Spin Doctor a few weeks back

no complaints so far. Pretty sturdy construction that should last a while.

Ultimate Pro Elite here. Bought in a merlin cycles sale. Very good - good build quality, easy to use, cleans up well etc etc.
