I'm looking for some wide bars (750 - 780mm) to put on my Lapierre after trying some the other day. I found them really comfy because I'm a long-limbed lanky sod, and now my 685s seem pokey. I was going to start widish then I can always chop down a touch if I have to. What bars can you recommend? I like the look of the Answer pro taper dh's, but any advice gratefully accepted.
My current favourites are the Easton Havoc carbon bars at 750mm with a nice low rise. Feel perfect for me and are nice and light. The alloy version is cheaper, a little heavier but just the same shape.
I don't like to go too low-rise on my Zesty, got a 5mm spacer and a 40mm rise Easton Carbon DH 710mm on right now - but you want to go wider than that so...
Sunline V1 is a nice 745mm wide bar - I've got one of them on my Froggy and like it a lot. Think they do them in slightly wider versions now too.
