I cant find a 2011 crossmax st front wheel to match the rear ive got so looking at new wheels for fast xc use. ive got crossmax sx for the gnarly stuff so what other wheels are out there? crossmax st's are 1590g a pair i think so need to weigh less then these to be of interest to me. unless someone has the front i need to match the rear in 15mm fitment

Look at JRA or Strada Wheels sites for lightweight wheel builds

I was (still am!) using Tune Prince/Princess on Alex XCR-Pro with DT Aerolites. 1,200g for the pair. very light, climb noticeably better than my other wheels. However, the Tune seals are shocking, destroyed three freewheels in the first two years, and Poshbikes have a very slow turnaround for repairs, they are not user-servicable either due to a press-fit carbon axle. Daren't take them out in the wet any more.
.
My other set are Chris Blings on Stans Alpines, 1,400ish grams for the pair so not too bad. Indestructable as far as I can tell, raced loads of wet XC, 24hrs etc on them, never missed a beat. The hubs did fill with sand at that horrible Kielder in 2011 but a quick strip and rebuild (very easy to do) and they were like new again. Raced DH on them once. Only downside is tyres are a PITA to get straight on the Alpines, Nobby Nics in particular just won't sit right without a lot of faffing, don't seem to have that problem with them on the Alex rims, but then my Maxxis Advantage are fine on both.

Stans Alpine or Podium on American Classic or the cheaper Chinese American Classic copies.

Shameless plug ๐Ÿ˜ณ

I happen to have for sale a Stans Alpine/ Hope Pro II/ Sapim CX Ray front wheel and Stans Podium/ American Classic/ DT Rev front wheel, both of which are pretty darn light and fit 15mm front axles. Only surplus as just bought a Lefty...

I've got some DT240s on ZTR Alpines (should be <1400g) and some A2Z on Podium MMX (1246g) to sell if of interest?

Edit: although both are QR

I really liked my old stans Olympics on xtr hubs. 1300g and they were affordable compared to the others.

Have you checked your ST's don't convert to 15mm by just pulling the QR end caps off, mine did, no 15mm converters needed just pull the caps off and that's it..
