Finger tape!
I've been struggling with a finger ligament problem for ages, a climber friend told me to try finger tape. WOW went for a ride today and it was the best ride I've been on in a long time. The weather was shit, it was the same trail I've ridden a thousand times but my finger didn't hurt every time I pulled on the bars!
Proper mud tyres, always kept the same tyres on year round then heard good things about the Maxxis Beaver, gave them a go and now have fun in the mud! 🙂
Front and rear crud catchers. Look shit but less mud in my eyes and keep my arse dry 🙂

This keeps help keep my rack a lot more secure than the old p-clip solution that I was using.. which in turn keeps yunki Jr's seat in a better position, which keeps his toes from catching my heels..

Garmin Edge 500 and Strava, kept me motivated all year to train and not slack off, having my best ever cross season.
Shimano AM41 Shoes has made my Day!! Much lighter than my 5 tens. 🙂
Also a type 2 mech, feel much more confident pedalling hard over the rough stuff.

Out front Garmin mount. So much easier to read.
Building a mini pump track, 5 foot drop off and gap jump in the garden. Now just wondering how I can build something bigger. Improved confidence, cornering and jumping no end.

Swapping my cove hustler frame for a 5 spot frame, total game changer. Component wise, reverb and Hans Dampf front tyre.
New pikes and going from a nobby nic to a rubber queen on the rear (putting the baron i already had on the front), conditions have got muddy, but feels like summer levels of grip again.
Reverb. I was always cynical about them, but now that I've used one, I doubt I'll go back. They're great!

New rear rim.... My race bike has been immobile for 2 years because of it being busted.
Now ive entered a race and even trained and things just because the bikes rebuilt and in gwo.
Wearing a hat under my helmet. No more head colds for me.

I'm riding things I used to bottle out on when on my beloved 456ti!
XX1 Drive train, Float X rear shock and Solo-air Pikes upfront, a major difference bar some early problems.
Onza Ibex tyres, absolutely fantastic. Running the 2.25 FR on the rear and 55a 2.4 DH on the front. Fast rolling, lightish and ridiculous levels of grip when pushed hard. Good strong side walls too.
Not having a Mountain Bike anymore.

Next up will be Shadow+ rear mech.
I've just fitted a Singular fork which I picked up from here.. again, not had much chance to ride it in anger, but from a couple of brief spins, it really feels great..
It's tweaked the geo a tiny bit for the better, but I would also say that the compliance feels much smoother than the carbon fork that it replaces..
I'm looking forward to giving it a more thorough test in some tougher conditions..
