[#2579830]

After some new cranks for the new SS. Not really bothered on the BB fitting, but must look nice and be reasonably nice. Cant be too much to ask can it?

Oh and need to be available in 180mm.

Yeah Middleburn are a front runner I think. Any advantage for going for X Type BB over square taper? I cant really think of one.

I'm an Middleburn RS8 square taper man myself - I don't weigh much 🙂

White Industries cranks look good in a plain and basic style.

Middleburns here as well... it's a pity you don't need 175mm cranks as there are several sets in the classifieds at the moment. I was tempted, but I really don't need any more sets!

MIddleburn dont seem to do a 180, so it might be White Industries...

White industries are lovely. Very reliable and lovely again. The spline mounted ring means that your ring is always 100% central, unlike four arm cranks which can give your chain tight spots / slack spots.

Or just grab some XTs and slap on a salsa chainring. Flog the spare rings on eBay.
