Quite fancy getting a road bike for evening fitness stuff, but I've never owned one, so I've no idea what size I need?

I'm 6'2" with a 35" inside leg. Any idea where I should start from there?

58/60cm, probably 60cm.
I'm 6'4" and 36 inside leg and ride a 62cm Specialised. I think the Evans site has a size 'sorter'/fitting thing

6FT 4", 34" inside leg, use a 60" Trek 1.7-just right.

Go to a bike shop and either get fitted or try some out.
FWIW I'm 5'8" and ride 56.5cm top tube road bikes.

at 6'2" you need a 59 or a 60, as do I.

im 5.11/6ft and ride a 56cm cannondale.

58/59 should be about right depending on the bar/stem/top tube combination.

I'm 5'10 ride a 56cm which feels too small. Hoever, the last 56cm I had was perfect. Bit risky to buy without try.

All different sizing according to manufacturer and style - go round bike shops and sit on loads to get an idea. Sizing is more important on a road bike, if you get it wrong you won't want to ride it

i'd agree with swadey, you can get an idea from other people, but no definitive until you try them for size. Reach, standover etc all vary between models and brands, so go to a big store that stocks a few if you can.
