@ratherbeintobago it works fine, the 4l tank is fine for when the bike is still freshly muddy. As soon as it dries you'll need more water. Which is where the additional pipe comes it, also got the car charger so I'm never without juice.
@greenskin thanks!
A couple of further questions: where does the pipe attach, and can you get more than one tank out of a battery?
I've got a Worx and its brilliant. The only thing I'd say is my pump died after 19 months of average to low use and it took them just under a month to replace it, but they did send me a brand new one.
@ratherbeintobago You remove the tank and plug the hose into the valve that draws water from the tank. The pipe has a filter on it so you can dump in pretty much any water source as well. Accessory Kit
The battery seems to last for ages, I've had it running for quite a while washing the bike when I was lazy and let the mud harden!
Very tempted with the worx, but gone for 25l water container and an ebay special for £25 total.
Only need it to get the worse off before bike goes in car in winter (bike rack usually on April to October).
Don't need the power as have two proper jet washes at home, and dont pressure wash the bike anyway. Hose pressure is enough, then bucket and sponge.
Does the Bosch Fontus use the same batteries as the blue 18v power tools?
OK, so having had a couple of hours in the SE mud today, I had a chance to test out my borrowed hydroshot. I honestly wasn't expecting that much as it has much less water flow than the tap and hose I normally use.
Colour me impressed.
Forgot to take a before pic, but we all know what it would look like: a bottom bracket somewhere beneath the layers of mud, generally covered in a good 1-3cm layer of finest Kent mud.
Anyway, I filled up a 30l bucket from a tap to under half full, and gave it a proper thorough wash, I used about 15l total.
I'd say its better than my hose, got the ingrained mud on the saddle off, and stuff like the brake calipers are nice and clean.

I'll be looking for a hydroshot on sale in the next month or 2, unless the bosch goes on a decent sale. I'll get a 25l plastic water container for my boot and strap it in permanently then with the hose I can leave it in there and use the hydroshot from the boot.
Next random question - is there a foam attachment for either the Bosch or the Karcher?
The bosch doesn't have a proper lance adapter does it, nor does the karcher. So you're stuck with the rubbish soap bottle they come with, no option for a proper snow foam lance (not that the hydroshot would be any good due to lack of waterflow/pressure).
Has anyone bought the brushless hydroshot yet? Any reviews? Tempted by it, I've got £45 worth of nectar vouchers and argos have it for £200...
It's a bit more beastly than the standard one:

I'm tempted to see if I can modify the k series foam nozzle to fit my OC3. I shall let you know.
I'm still loving my £50 mobi v15, used it loads and it's perfect so far 👍👍😁
Thought I'd revive this as I've now used my worx hydroshot brushless (wg630) a couple of times.
Bloody brilliant.
I went for a night ride on my gravel bike on Sunday, and it got absolutely caked in mud. Forgot about it until today (been working lates so washing the bike at 9pm wasn't appealing), so it was covered in week old, dried on mud - started on the chain with some neat fenwicks in the x-tools pro chain cleaner - the chain was so bad I had trouble turning the cranks. Then I doused the entire bike in a spray of 1-10 mix fenwicks, and left it 5 minutes while I got the hydroshot out.
10 minutes on the 25 degree and 15 degree jets, with no brushing required, and it's spotless again. I'll get some protect and shine spray when they're in aldi next and with the chain dried and lubed, a quick wipe down to dry the bike, I'm done.
I've now got a 25l water container strapped into the boot of my car so I'll fill that up before going out on the mtb, that's probably enough water and battery to do 3 bikes.
Anyone had to replace the hose on the Worx Hydroshot?
Despite the filter, mine seems to have gotten blocked up with black gunk.
I can only assume I must have left water in it and it grew a fat organism.
I ordered some with the right OD diameter, but the id is too big.
Has to be something cheaper than the genuine hose at about £30. I don't need all the filter and shizzle obvs.

Can you not soak it and try and wash out the blockage? I made the mistake of leaving water in my portable washer over the winter and the water almost turned to jelly! Hot soapy water and rinsing under the tap sorted it all out
