A wireless bike computer does not seem to work reliably on 160mm forks. My HTC desire is great but not on the bars, wired computers are a PITA, so for xmas i am after a gps enabled bike computer..
Whats good apart from the usual Garmin?

first question is what do you want to achieve? Is this a navigation aid, a training tool, or just a way of getting an idea of how far/fast you have ridden.
Looking at the Garmin set, 800 has maps, 500 is a training tool and 200 a basic computer.
