Says 34.9mm Top Pull on CRC - need to order front mech for it, is that top swing or conventional (like I know the difference?!).

It doesn't matter - you can use either. Top swing / conventional is nothing to do with whether the cable is top or bottom pull. I had a top swing one on mine.
