Simple question. I have about 4 old pairs just lying there. Do you throw them away? Sneak them out with your household refuse? Can they be recycled (uh-oh... pun alert)? Send them to the local morgue for incineration? Post them to your enemies? What do you do with your old tyres?
You can make chainstay protectors out of them you know.... 🙂

Burn them.
I leave mine lying around, in the vain hope that I'll find a use for them. I'd considered making one pair into studded tubeless tyres with abag of small bolts, but not got round to it yet.
i keep them and collect them 😉 come in usefull when my mates go thru their on there crappy bikes
My buddy once made a belt out of an old tyre!

Leave them in the bike shed at work for kids to have.
Turn them inside out and use them as slicks.

I hang mine from trees at the side of trail center trails.
Throw 'em over lamp posts on the nearest council estate.
(actually our local tip recycles them)
hang em over speed cameras, half a cup off petrol in the bottom, match and run.
I actually make my own sandals out of my old tyres.

I don't believe anyone on STW rides their bike enough to actually wear tyres out?!?!?!
Sell them on ebay Plenty of tread left yada yad pic of them when they were new.
My 13 yr-old has just moved up to 26" wheels so has inherited a pile of unloved tyres and will no doubt have them down to canvas as soon as we have a dry spell...
