Hi all - I have BR M7000 SLX brakes on my bike. Trying to get cheap pads from either disco brakes or superstar. Discobrakes don't seem to sell them (but who knows really their website is hard to track model down on), superstar might sell them - I think they are their 'S5' model, but since they just show a picture of the shape, again who knows!

Any advice welcome!

Just get original shimano, better than anything else.

I'm a big fan of superstar kevlar.

S5 is the pad shape you want.

I just got a load of Shimano resin from here:

https://www.lordgunbicycles.co.uk/shimano-g03a-m8100-m7100-original-resin-brake-pads

Were pretty quick to deliver from the EU, despite the uk website title. VAT is included in orders under 135 quid, so no customs charges.

If you are interested I might have a few unused Shimano pads in the garage as I no longer have any Shim brakes. Is the style the same as that in the link for Uber? If so I will take a look tonight and will drop you a message

Galfer. They’re the best and cheap!

Why would you want cheap pads ....it's one area I wouldn't skrimp on.
As for Noah and Theo those have to be some of the worst pads in existence.
And poah I thought you'd be to he last person I'd hear recommending them especially where you ride .

The manitou recommend was bad enough 😆.
P.s for context I did used to ride with you now and again

Superstar resins are pretty good these days, I use the four-pot ones on my Shimano brakes and they just work without any scary moments. Sintered are good too if you prefer them.

Or Clarks pads are available for about a fiver a pair off eBay.

Yeah, Shimano's own pads are a bit better, but it's marginal for me.

Cheap brake pads can be totally fine if they're decent ones.

EBC on Merlin. Haven't looked for your specific ones, but EBC green are excellent. Usually about £6 a pair
