Can the STW collective recommend me a "comfy" 27.2mm seat post to take a bit of the sting out when riding my hardtail. I don't really want to be spending a lot so a budget of £50.

I would suggest titanium instead of carbon for being comfy

I just picked up a 27.2 raceface next sl (2010) from crc for £47 - but that was with a £10 off voucher

No ideal what they are like but I have a pair of their carbon handlebars and they are very well finished.
