I'm off on hols very shortly, but neither of my full suss frames fit in our roof carrier rack, so I need to look at something that either attaches to a tow bar mount or fits on the tailgate.

Any recommendations? I'm looking to spend under £175 if possible and I need room for three bikes. Are there any hidden extras I need to be aware of?

Do you have a towbar?

Thanks for the link, it's roughly what I'm looking for. We've not fitted a towbar yet though. Are there any racks that bolt directly to the towbar mounting on the car itself?

There are some racks that bolt on using a plate/bracket behind the towball, so if you've got the towbar fitted but not the actual towball then they will bolt on but you need to buy some bolts to fit them (Towsure are good for towbar bolts).
Witter type racks are like that and I think Pendle are too
Generally they either clamp on to the ball or they are fitted to a bracket (which is bolted on behind the ball)
This link is quite helpful
