Ok, this may get a flaming but I have used search and I'm still looking for ideas.
I only have a FS bike, so want to fit a baby seat for the odd occasion. Would prefere one on the back, I have a normal down tube so it could work except that it's got a top pill front mech so I think the normal brackets that seats mount too would interfere with the cabling. Anyone got round this or is it not an issue?
If you can find one LOCT - but I dont think theyre in business anymore - rear seat on a full suspension could cause numerous problems
Really? What like? If I pump the shock up a little more, won't it be like a fatter bloke on the bike?
Even if you do get round the bracket/swingarm problem the rear tyre/underside of childseat interface is always gonna be a dodgy one. Even on a hardtail if you go down a bump/kerb to fast the seat can hit the rear tyre.
How old is you child? I use a 'LECO' on my Five but my lad is 3 and very sturdy, if your kid is only 1 or 2 or small and fragile i would go for something like a weeride.
I think toppeak make a rear one that fits to a pannier rack type thing so you could check that out.
