Enjoying the TdF coverage so much, I am toying with the idea of taking a day off to watch one of the Tour de Britain stages.
Two options: somewhere near the end of stage 4 (Stage 4 map), maybe the intermediate sprint in Newbridge on Wye, wouldnt want to go much further north; or, the first half of stage 5( Stage 5 map), the welsh bit, not much further than Tintern.
Anyone know the routes and can suggest good (and picturesque) viewing spots? I'm envisaging it being an indian summer and lounging around with a couple of bottles of Butty Bach and a healthy chunk of Caerphilly ๐
I'm in!
I am going to look for a hill with a long winding view of the race. Probably a downhill (tight corner...?) as less people blocking the view!
It's a toss up between that and finding a village with a pub on route for a bit of crowd atmosphere and beer ๐
