just found some old 90s style mitts with a good bit of padding and saved my hands no end. but they're knackered. so i'm after something with good thick, durable palm padding and a nice big place to wipe my sweaty face : )
i live somewhere warm... [/smug]

Alternatively sort out padding on the bars, how warm? Tend to just use the jersey here to wipe sweat off

I always end up buying Specialized BG mitts (various types depending what I'm wearing them for), BG Gels sound like they fit what you're after.

bars are an option - may eventually go for spank vibrocores and even foam grips, but i like them the way they are, and the gloves did enough cushioning. i don't wear a jersey, but a vest, so needs to be gloves.
i'll check the BG gel gloves thanks.
