People were raving about a set of cheap Welgo flats not so long ago. B37 or B17 or something. What were they and how are they holding up?

I have a set of these:

Been using them for around 6 months now, still super smooth and in generally excellent condition. Pedal strikes have only resulted in paint loss rather than gouging out sections.

Sorry to butt in but I have two new pairs of Wellgo flatties doing SFA in the shed if anyone wants them? One are like the linky, one like old Shimano DX. They're not worth flogging, postage covered will do .

Mine lasted about 10 years with no maintenance. Amazing for the price.

Stevie, that's very kind of you. I've got a googlemail account with the same username. Let me know how much you want for postage.

Cheers.

Have MG1's on my bike in the UK and Shimano DX's on my bike in Oz. I MUCH prefer the MG1's. Nicer feel, light, grippy as and way cheaper.

MG1's /were/ about 20 squids from eBay - HighOnBikes IIRC

I have MG1s on both of my bikes, but won't buy another pair. Each pedal strike loses you a pin, and you can't replace it because it tore out the soft magnesium when it went.

I WANT NC-17 Sudpin-III S-pros, but will probably buy wellgo B25s next.

Maybe a £5er with the Jiffy bag?

Wellgo V8 copies. Tenner at CRC, last just as long as any others I've had costing 3 times the price. Can't go wrong. Get fed up of colour or decide they look tatty, bin em and get new ones. Bargain

I have no idea how many solid pedal strikes I've done but I've never lost a pin...
