Ahh rain.... Time to waterproof my bag, shorts and tops!

Is NikWax Tech Wash/TX Direct the stuff to use?

What do you use? and does it work!?

Yes it works, as long the waterproof material hasn't been compromised in some way. Read the instructions from the manufacturer websites on how best to treat them, what product to use, recommedations to ironing/tumble drying (some do, some don't). Get the proofer that is actually recommended for the material, don't try to shortcut and buy one for all...

As for Nikwax vs Grangers (top 2 washing/reproofing products), I've used both but wouldn't know if one was better than the other. Latest reports/post I seen suggest maybe Grangers is better, but I've been using Nikwax with good results

Nikwax Tech Wash is just soap. You can just wash with soap flakes, which are much cheaper.

Then use the TX Direct (or other waterproofing stuff).
