Looking for some waterproof trousers with descent length and the ability to tighten/cover the top of my boot's.

Budget happy to pay for a good pair.

Have been looking at the 7Mesh thunder pants and the Endura MT500 waterproof pants.

Anything else good?

Got a pair of these which are on their second winter of pretty heavy abuse.

Cant recommend them highly enough.

If ye can find a pair I highly recommend the Raceface agents
Nice cut and shape
Legs has poppers so ye can open the legs up when taking socks shoes off
Didn’t like my Fox at all
To tight at the ankles and the water had higher chance of running down into my boots/shoes
If the Madison trousers are anything like the shorts they will be good but very heavy, not as light and stretchy as the Raceface

Eyra Aquatrails , Eyra are a new scottish company based around Edinburgh . I've bought a few of their bits and the quality is excellent as well as the customer service. They were £95 but head and shoulders better than anything else I've had.

I’ve got the Showers Pass ones, they’re pretty good. With braces they hold up well and have Velcro lower cuffs.

I have the Patagonia ones, (dirt roamer storm?)

As mentioned above they are incredible, on my second winter of heavy use, it may be third but can’t remember exactly! The water still beads and runs off. They get periodically washed in the machine with goretex wash type stuff. Have had some minor crashes in them and they haven’t flinched.
I mention them everytime the waterproof trouser thing gets mentioned. They are pricey but they have out performed/outlasted the cheaper Troy lee/ fox ones I have owned

I was torn between them and the thunder pants. Patagonia ones were 50 or so cheaper so they won

I have showers pass trousers. They just have waterproof panels on the front with the result that they are nice and stretchy and comfy. Worth a look. The optional braces are a strong selling point IMO. They are a perfect fit over my Shimano boots. Perfectly dry feet no matter how long I'm out in what conditions.

Madison DTE

I have some but find there a tad short on the leg length (34" with a pair of XL) not used them in really nasty condition yet, to test their mettle
