I think it was mentioned earlier. £350 for the new triangle, then flog it.

Jamie, stop talking so much sense, apparently this isn't the place for reasonable suggestions.

Had to happen at some point. Law of averages, and all that.

Nah, ring them. Bike shops are usually poor when it comes to email communications

My english speaking and listening level is not so good for that 😕

Sorry, that's a bollocks excuse. You've barely tried with them, yet you are responding to comments on your ranting thread within minutes, in perfectly legible English.

How old are you?

The chap is seemingly beyond rational help.

What does one need to do to initiate a 'close topic' request? Please.

I've really tried to not click on the thread, but it's there, in the list of topics..... and I just cant help it....

TBF - if folk keep posting and asking him question or making suggestions you can't expect him not to respond. It's not like he's answering his own posts!

How strange. I've seen plenty of thread titles changed by the mods before - I think this is the first time I've seen the URL changed (and that happened a while after the title was changed). Yet if you do a search it still links to the original URL 😉

Au revoir. Say goodbye to the dropper post, buy a very long seat post that is the correct diameter, then go ride your bike 😀

I had a frame that broke there - cracked the whole way around. Many years with no problems and big funs.

Poor show DeVinci.

Wo ist die Toilette, bitte?

if you buy and fit a 4" shim but only insert the post 3" its not the required insertion.
Minimum insertion as marked on a post is the required amount to avoid the seatpost from flexing too much and snapping.

You should follow frame manufacturers advice for seatpost insertion, you seem confused, that you mention

I prove them that I inserted almost 4"
then say it was 5"

Would either depth reached below the triangle for the seatpost?

When I changed my trek to a yeti, my existing reverb post wouldn't fit, 31.6 down to 30.9. I just bought a new one and used the packaging to make existing post look better on ebay, only lost £25 - seems like it'd have been the best option.

Trust me, you are much more confused than me
