@ready - thanks, sounds like I'm better off fathoming it out on the ground so to speak, I've got an os map so I'll follow my nose & see how it goes.

   I'll send you a DM

Edit - I would if I could!

There's 2 official trails at Thetford that combined aren't too bad - but it's very flat & pedally - I did nearly 32miles on Saturday with only 1270ft of elevation.  Brandon nearby has some more fun stuff but I don't know that area very well.

Nice moody shot @DaveyBoyWonder

Disappointed my wheel isn't central on the trail but as good as I could get whilst riding one handed, fishing around in my pocket for my phone and just aiming the camera in front of me as I rode along 😀

Similar to a few other folks experiences on Saturday - properly misty in places and blazing sunshine in others.

A weekend away in Galloway with my brother, for me. We basically rode around Cairnsmore of Carsphairn over two days, with a night at Clennoch bothy, and climbed the hill from the highpoint of the track on its western flank. Then we camped at Mabie forest and rode the red route there on Sunday. Excellent fun all round. A selection of the photos:

On Sunday after a cool night camping at Marthrown of Mabie site (which, I'll be honest, doesn't seem to be fully functional for the spring, yet)

9) A bit of woodwork in Mabie Forest

10) Singletrack in Mabie Forest

Ooh, I forgot to say

"Hats off" to the young lady who'd ridden the 60-odd miles from Cockermouth to camp at Mabie, as a shakedown ride for her new Rohloff-equipped Surly Disctrucker. The idea being to see if she liked it, although she had her doubts about its weight. If you're reading this, hope the tyre stayed up 😄

Bike Park Wales for us at the weekend. Fantastic weather and trails running absolutely prime.

Highlight was on Saturday though, somehow convinced myself to do the big stepup on the Dragon's Back jump line. Biggest jump I've ever hit by quite a margin. Felt like a new level properly unlocked there 😎

It's a superbly well built but of track though- a friendly jump despite it's size!

That's me in the air

Apologies for shitness of the photo - screenshot from a compressed video

Having put my Dad's Rohloff equipped / belt drive tourer into a work stand recently I can understand the doubts.
