Wouldn't it be far lighter than conventional dropper posts?

But why would you want a bearing? The last thing you want a dropper to do is rotate, and it's not as if less stiction is really an issue...

What with all the rain about, thank you for the timely reminder to refresh the grease on our seat posts - especially those of us without droppers!

That would actually be *really* useful for commuting - rather than uncomfortably twisting around to see traffic behind you, just flick a lever and rotate the saddle to quickly and effortlessly eyeball the juggernaut bearing down on you!
(Or a mirror, but that's not as cool).
