Very daft question re transmission

Anyone know if there's a BB in the box? I'm guessing not what with their being more options on BB standards than gears but...

I'm finding myself inexorably drawn towards silly expenditure like a moth with singed wings still circling the candle in ever decreasing circles.

As you don't specify which box then it's difficult to say.

some do some dont, merlin use to let you tick a box for pressfit versus a regular 68/73mm threaded

Schrodinger's bottom bracket? Or is it the shell game? Maybe it's shelldinger's bottom bracket?

Alas merlin haven't got it listed, such that I can see.

I must be missing something somewhere but I am fascinated as to what you are thinking of buying now. Please put me out of my misery.

If it is a box containing a bottom bracket, than almost certainly yes. Any other sort of box, then I'd have to say it's unlikely. None of the boxes in my house have bottom brackets in, but then that's just anecdotal and we'd need a wider survey to work out how likely it was that any given box would contain a BB.

Edit: Thinking about it, the last BB I bought that came in a box was probably a UN-73. All my recent BBs have come in plastic bags.

Indeed, many in my house do, though I think the chances of them being a box you'd expect to find one in vs a box you'd expect to find cornflakes in are not so good.
The downside of this is a BB doesn't make for a good breakfast.

Shiny things obviously, I'm a mtber after all.

I don't believe it does.

Some bottom brackets come unboxed. Are you sure you want to know if it should be in the box?

SRAM’s latest wireless MTB groupset is called ‘Transmission’. If I remember correctly you are more a Shimano man so perhaps oblivious to the launch. It looks very, very good.

What frame have you got? Are you sure it's transmission compatible? Not all UDH frames can use transmission, sadly.

Actually no, but what does that matter? It'll stay shiny longer if it's unused!

Ah. I didn't know that. <goes to look at SRAM website>  Ooh, shiny.

There's an unboxing video here

- no sign of a BB.

if it's a question about Transmission, then say so. Otherwise people will assume it's about transmission.

I think 2020 was enough transmission for everyone, certainly was for me.
