I'm feeling smug cos based on local advice I've got a nice table booked at "scotlands most romantic cafe" and a night away at the seaside(love the sea!) then off for a road ride on sunday/ lazy day if rained off... Cannae wait!

Quite good here as both my girlfriend and I don't really believe in the whole valentines day thing.....so.....the third year of doing nothing :)everything on valentines day is just charged at a premium when I have looked in the past

Yup nothing here don't need commercial entities or media to tell me when to book a meal or weekend away with my wife. You'll easily get a table at your most awesomely romantic restaurant the rest of the time.

Mrs PixelMix and I are gatecrashing other people's enjoyment of Valentines day by spending a long weekend visiting friends who recently got engaged. (Failed to notice the date when getting that sorted out) 🙂

We normally just have a nice meal in the flat on our own, as it's not worth battling for elbow room in a packed restaurant.

I'm off to Glen Coe for 3 days of climbing, while my girlfriend does uni work and goes to her placement... Very romantic!

I'll be webcamming on Scotland's most romantic cafe (I've paid for the toilet upgrade) cleaning it vigorously 'til it falls off.

That's my experience too. Have never had anything (restaurant-wise) above the norm, even in one place where it was £50p/h before drinks.

I think we've stayed at home the last 4-5 years and just got stuck into some proper home-cooked stuff; normally something like fillet steak, stilton sauce, dauphinoise and asparageezers.

Nothing here too. All commercial over priced gubbins.

Same as PeterPoddy, we celebrate our Wedding Anniversary as it's much more special. 🙂

Last year went to one of our favourite local pubs during the day to avoid the goo-goo eyed morons it was nice and we didn’t get the standard Valantines day piss poor service.

We Got diddled on our very first Valantines day by a restaurant we had previously liked but getting appalling service, shite set menu food and a crap table put us off them that one time means we’ve not been back for about 4 years now...

This year it’s Cinema, then Wagamama’s, Job done!
She loves noodles and they are set up for dealing with lots of punters unlike most eateries it seems, we only have a baby sitter for so long so therefore now have to be practical, My vote is True Grit but it’ll probably be a compromise deal is the Kings speech still on?

Valantines day is of course all bullshit, but she likes it so best to keep the missus happy (and of course all the other invented “Special” days: Mothers day, Anniversarys, Birthday, Christmas, etc)…

The only thing we do is have a competition to see who can get the most minging card, points are awarded for pages of verse, embossing, gilting or padded cards etc.

I usually win hands down but last year mrs maxray put me to shame!

Will have dinner together, but do that most nights 🙂

F-all, its my birthday and hate the fact that I cant go out for a decent meal without paying double the normal and being forced to sit with red roses on the table. Grrrrrrrrr and indeed Grrrr, commercial rubbish!!!!
