I have a Pinarello FP Uno, and am thinking of upgrading the whole transmission (molgrips, if you're reading this, what we talked about notwithstanding!).

When it was new, the bike shipped with 105, but the previous owner put Dura-Ace 7800 on it and, because it is old, I sort of want to put on something shiny and new. Especially if it is shiny and new and made by Campagnolo. I can't afford Chorus, so am looking at Athena.

In any case, what determines whether or not you bother upgrading? People will often refer to a frame as 'not worth upgrading', while some bikes are sold precisely on the basis that they are worth upgrading, except that no one ever actually does.

It has been said that my Pinarello looks to big for me, but I find that it is very comfortable, and I quite like the frame. So, if it was yours, would you upgrade? Or just buy a new bike?

If its comfy, its worth upgrading.
I hve a 2012 charge filter, bought as a complete bike. The frame and fork are the only original parts left.
And the forks may be next to go, as i fancy some carbon.

Thanks for that, martymac.

Any other thoughts, anyone? Anyone know about my specific bike (2013 Pinarello FP Uno) that they would advise me on? Or the proposed groupset?

I'd run a Shimano crank and cassette with that groupset, campag cassettes are overpriced and the bb are a ball ache.

Wheels. Always go for the wheels. A good wheel upgrade will do far more for a bike than any shiny gewgaw components will.

Other than that, new chain/cassette and new cables on the existing drivetrain.

OP sounds like you don't know much about the bike, dura ace etc, think it's not cool, and want to spend money on it to make it cool?

I just ask because it's difficult to advise without knowing what you want.
